Labour rarely announces itself politely β pack your hospital bag by week 36 and it becomes one less thing to think about when the moment arrives. Here is the complete Indian-hospital checklist, organised by who it is for.

- A soft blanket for the trip home, weather-appropriate going-home outfit
For Your Birth Partner
- A change of clothes and basic toiletries

Smart Packing Tips
Use two bags: a small one for the labour room (documents, phone, snacks, one baby outfit) and the main bag for the ward. Keep both where family can grab them, and tell two people where they are. C-section moms typically stay 3 to 4 days, so pack one extra day of everything. And leave a little space β you will come home with gifts, paperwork, and one brand-new person.
